Meet Our Director

The 2024-25 season will be Matt’s 13th season as the director and head coach at Club Koa.

 

Matt's teams at Club Koa have experienced a huge amount of success, including achieving top 10 finishes at several national tournaments and helping multiple athletes fulfill their goal of playing in college.

Matt is currently the head girls volleyball coach at Crescenta Valley High School. In his six seasons at CVHS, he has been named Pacific League Coach of the Year five times, and he has led CVHS to their three winningest seasons in school history. In 2022, Matt guided them to their first league championship in 20 years, and in 2023 CVHS was ranked #1 in the CIF polls for the first time in school history. He again won a league championship in 2024.

Prior to coaching at Crescenta Valley, Matt coached at Calabasas High School and deToledo High School. Both schools experienced their winningest season in their schools’ history under Matt’s leadership.

Matt is married to his beautiful wife Rebecca. Together, they have two kids, Brynlee (4), and Easton (1).
